The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition is now available on PlayStation 5. Let's talk about some of the wonderful changes we're making to this Board-approved game.
The Outer Worlds was praised extremely highly by fans across the world and won numerous awards, making it a real pleasure to have the opportunity to improve something we all know and love.
Here's a quick summary for those who are new to the game:
You discover yourself in the midst of a deadly conspiracy threatening to destroy the colony while aboard a colonist ship on the edge of the galaxy decades after your scheduled date, only to discover yourself in the midst of a grand tour on Halcyon's other planets and locations. The choices you make determine how the narrative unfolds.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition is a remake of The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice.
Here's how the teams got things done.
Taking the guesswork out of visual enhancements
Improvements in the visuals are a big part of the deal. We increased the density of the vehicles, increased the depth of field, improved existing vistas, improved character animations, and improved the game in several more ways.
The DualSense wireless controller provides completely new and exciting triggers and haptics. When firing a ranged weapon, the player will sense linear pressure while during firing an automatic pistol, the trigger pressure effect will mimic the sensation of squeezing a trigger.
Enhancing a legacy
Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos were among the reasons we decided to include the new edition of Spacer's Choice Edition. It's no longer a storyline, but it's still a lot of fun to play once you've reached the desired level. Oh, and we raised the level limit to 99 to give players greater freedom to develop their character from the seven branches of the skill tree.
For a reduced price, you may already own The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition and its associated DLC, Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition is available on March 7.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition is priced at Private Division's suggested retail price. Actual pricing may vary. Limit of one upgrade per account. See platform store for more information and terms.
