Kyla Pratt has been a game veteran, stealing the hearts of fans as Breanna Barnes on One on One, Penny Proud on The Proud Family and its subsequent reboot, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.
Pratt won Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance (Television) in the 2023 NAACP Image Awards for her aforementioned breakout roles and other leading roles in Fat Albert, Love & Basketball, and Dr. Dolittle, but the comedic actress reveals which dream role she'd like to pursue next.
"I'm really interested in some action right now." she jokingly teased to VIBE on the Image Awards red carpet.
"And I'm a beast when it comes to, you know what I'm saying?" she continued, "I just want to do something that's physically demanding. I like to be challenged." So I think right now, I'm going to do what I want to do."
Pratt, 36, responded to a question about Black Hollywood's legacy, saying, "I'm allowing my community to feel valued and not alone, to develop projects," and have incredible things for us to observe and love ourselves in, and know that we're all in this together."
Louder and Prouder, a podcast from The Proud Family, is now available on Disney+.
