Screenshots for what is supposedly a sequel to the canceled Justice League: Mortal movie have been leaked online.
Jonathan Gwyn, a senior game artist on ArtStation, has revealed several screenshots from what is said to be an unannounced sequel to the canceled film Justice League: Mortal. The screenshots may be seen below.
According to Gwyn, the Justice League: Mortal game project was designed to coincide with the release of the movie with the same name, even though the former was still quite young in its development.
Justice League: Mortal was originally planned as a loose adaptation of JLA's Tower of Babel (2000) and Superman: Sacrifice (2006).
In February 2007, Warner Bros. hired Kieran and Michele Mulroney to direct the script for Justice League, which they submitted to the studio for approval in June. In September 2007, George Miller agreed to direct the film, which the studio hoped would begin production before the Writers Guild of America strike in 2007–2008.
The filming for Sydney Heads was scheduled to begin in February 2008, when post-production would take place. Nevertheless, Warner Bros. declared the film on indefinite hold in January 2008, allowing the cast's options to expire.
