Firewall Ultra, the new PlayStation VR2 exclusive game, is powered by Unreal Engine 5, in order to fully exploit the full potential of the Sony peripheral and offer truly next-generation gaming.

The difference from the previous Firewall Zero Hour should therefore be significant, both from a technical perspective. “Firewall Ultra is a truly world class next generation made possible by the combination of PlayStation VR2 hardware and Unreal Engine 5,” said the developers.

The new Firewall Ultra viewer's most common uses is the tracking oculare, which is used to access the game's interface, which is based on this principle. All menus in the game employ this feature, as well as some environmental interactions in gameplay.

The developers remained evasive when asked if there would be ray tracing, but understood that the lighting system has very interesting real-time components, such as the flashlight that casts shadows on the spot.

First Contact is known for its Environment Query System (EQS) which is used extensively in the mode PvE, which allows to manage a large range of possible encounters in very convincing scenario setups.

Firewall Ultra has seen the PlayStation VR2 game's official trailer, while it is waiting for more information.
