A total of eight new Assassin's Creed titles are in the works, according to the sources.
According to the most recent online reports, Ubisoft is putting everything on one card with the Assassin's Creed franchise, and is working on Mirage, Codename Red, Codename Hexe, and Codename Jade alongside four other Assassin's Creed titles.
Assassin's Creed Project Nexus will be released as a VR game during E3 2023. However, there's still more to come, including Nebula, Raid, and Echoes.
The different Ubisoft studios develop each project. This is how Project Nebula will be created by Ubisoft Sofia, which has already developed Assassin's Creed III: Liberation and Assassin's Creed Rogue.
Project Raid, a cooperative free-to-play game with up to four players and PvE, is in the works at Ubisoft Chengdu. The themes for the game are believed to be from the Assassin's Creed universe.
Project Echoes will be created by Ubisoft Annecy, according to other sources, and will be a pure multiplayer game.
Ubisoft is evidently returning to its usual yearly release schedule, with the most important titles expected to be quite different from the previous. Codename Red is expected to be released in 2024, followed by Assassin's Creed Nexus shortly thereafter (2023).
