Ubisoft: A rumor has surfaced that four more Assassins Creed games are in the works ...

Four additional Assassin's Creed games are in the works, bringing the total number of titles to eight.

According to the most recent online reports, Ubisoft is putting everything on one card with the Assassin's Creed franchise, and is working on Mirage, Codename Red, Codename Hexe, and Codename Jade alongside four additional titles from the Assassin's Creed series.

If the rumors are true, Assassin's Creed Project Nexus will be released as a VR game during E3 2023. Other titles include Nebula, Raid, and Echoes.

The different Ubisoft studios are involved in each project. Project Nebula will be created by Ubisoft Sofia, who has already developed Assassin's Creed III: Liberation and Assassin's Creed Rogue.

Project Raid, a cooperative free-to-play game with up to four players and PvE, is being developed by Ubisoft Chengdu. The characters for the title are expected to all come from the Assassin's Creed universe.

Project Echoes will be written by Ubisoft Annecy, according to other sources, and will be a pure multiplayer game.

Ubisoft has stated that the first Assassin's Creed game, Mirage, will be released in August this year, followed by Assassin's Creed Nexus shortly thereafter (2023), and Assassin's Creed Hexe will be released in 2026.
