Octopath Traveler 2's Tips for Using the Throne

Octopath Traveler 2's Tips for Using the Throne ...

In Octopath Traveler 2, Throne is a fantastic player who is capable of debuffing enemies, buffing allies, and even debuffing when things happen in battle. She's also one of the best ways to quickly build up a large stock of all sorts of goods and make money, thanks to her ability to steal from NPCs in daytime Path Action.

Temenos' story starts south of Flamechurch. If you don't want to meet her as your starting character, you'll need to go there.

Throne's Blessing of Darkness skill is fantastic. It boosts everyone's attack power and speed in a pinch. She also has access to swords and daggers as her weapons, so you have two weakness options covered immediately.

In Octopath Traveler, Throne is a quick attacker who also involves buffs and debuffs, but some of her greatest abilities come just from learning four or six of her abilities, so you may acquire Incidental Attack and Ensnare as support skills.

Aeber's Reckoning is only taught once you possess the other seven skills, according to her.

  • Steal: 2SP for a chance to steal from an enemy.
  • Darkest Night: 7SP to deal dark damage to an enemy.
  • HP Thief: 6SP to attack twice with a knife and then get some HP based on damage dealt.
  • Surprise Attack: 12SP to use a sword to attack a foe. If Throne is one of the first people to act that turn, she deals more damage.
  • Armor Corrosive: 4SP to debuff an enemy’s defense.
  • Swift Step: 4SP to buff Throne’s speed.
  • Shackle Foe: 4SP to debuff an enemy’s attack.
  • Aeber’s Reckoning: 30SP to deal knife damage to every enemy. Like Surprise Attack, acting sooner in the turn means more damage dealt.

As soon as possible, ensure Throne gets HP Thief and Surprise Attack. Both are very helpful! Then, I’d suggest Armor Corrosive and Shackle Foe.

The power of Fleetfoot, her ability to "unlock five skills," is very helpful. It increases her speed by 50 when equipped.

What's also great about Throne is that she can only do so once she's finished. It's handy when faced with large groups or bosses. (Or when you're just starting out and don't have a whole party.)

Throne is fantastic for adventuring. During the day, she can Steal, which is a percentage-based action that allows her to steal items from NPCs' inventory. In Octopath Traveler 2, I spent 30 hours with Throne, because instead of it, I had Throne steal everything for me. It's also fantastic for getting all of the essential items you'll eventually need for side stories before you realize they exist.

Ambush is also a good game! Throne's is based on her level, while Castti's is based on items, and you could use Ochette's Provoke to just beat up people with a wide array of animals. It's not the finest "this person needs to get out of my way and sleep" skill.

Because I had so much success with her using it, I strongly suggest everyone try it out.

Make the Throne a hunter.

This is a wonderful feature because it helps her dodge axe and bow damage while also giving herself a temporary boost.

Octopath Traveler 2 is now available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC. A demo is also available.
