A Tesla compact electric vehicle prototype has been discovered in China, and it looks to be Mazda ...

Tesla announced plans to establish a new electric vehicle for the Chinese market, which will be more compact and cheaper than previous models of the company. This week, eyewitnesses in China shared photographs of a strange prototype of a compact car that appeared to be identical to the new Tesla model.

The electric vehicle concealed under the camouflage film resembled the Mazda CX-30 in most of its details and outlines, although the lighting technique gave it an impression of Tesla products. Tesla's American headquarters is hesitant to use camouflage film on prototypes, although they may, in theory, produce it in the same manner as its Chinese counterparts.

Elon Musk has long discussed the need for a smaller $25,000 electric vehicle that would work better for the European market, among others. The introduction of a more affordable Tesla model might enhance the automaker's position in the global electric car market in general, and China in particular, since it is the largest on the planet.

The appearance in the Tesla branded video of a frame with sketches of various electric vehicles, among which more compact ones were also shown, may be related to existing Tesla models, but the silver car in these images also has a more compact body compared to the same Model 3 and Model Y. Also, considering Elon Musk's desire to unveil a new model on March 1 for the first time, you may be tempted to wait for a formal announcement.
