FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Games reveal the latest Elden Ring sales statistics for the first time: to date the game has sold over 20 million copies worldwide starting February 25, 2022.
Elden Ring has been a huge hit since its release in (almost) twelve months, and the game has now sold 16.6 million copies, but in recent weeks sales have slowed, but the game has still sold over 3.4 million units in the last six months.
Elder Ring has captivated attention for much of last year, achieving great commercial success as well as from reviewers who gave the FromSoftware game high marks. Word of mouth did the rest, assisting in spreading the word about Elden Ring to a wider audience than just fans of the Souls games.
Elden Ring's first birthday will be broadcast live on February 25th, and who knows, there may not be much news about the first rumored expansion or any additional material to commemorate the twenty-million-copy distribution.
