A source close to the split told PEOPLE on Tuesday that the relationship would be a long time coming. "Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple," they said. "They're genuinely friends," according to the source.
The couple met over two years ago and got engaged in Paris on March 27, 2022. She captioned the photo carousel in French, saying, "Yes, I'll love you forever!"
"It was the most perfect, romantic proposal I could ever ask for," she later told People. "We were in Paris on a boat in the Seine River. We had a violin player, champagne, and roses."
