A Hellboy relaunch is in the works.

If you remember Guillermo del Toro's two Hellboy films, please know that you are not alone... Millennium Media, the studio that produced the Expendables films or the very latest Rambo, has recently announced that it wants to continue the story from scratch with a remake. The new film will be directed by Brian Taylor (Crank) and will be named Hellboy: The Crooked Man.

This new story, named after the same comic that was released in 2008, is one of Millennium Media's "most popular issues," and aims to expand the identity of the character created by Mike Mignola.

Aside from that, Mike Mignola will be a part of the project, since he co-wrote the script with Christopher Golden, who has already worked on Hellboy comics. We can therefore rely on his assurances that everything will remain true to the beginning.

Several films are in the works.

If we had assumed that this reboot would be confined to a single film, then please know that this is not the case. Jeffrey Greenstein, the president of Millennium Media, has stated that he intends to create several Hellboy feature films.

The Crooked Man, Hellboy, has not released any pictures or information on the cast at the moment. So, be patient.
