In one of the country's most recent reports, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate announced the return of reconnaissance pilots after finishing another combat mission.
Combat helicopters significantly improve special GUR units' abilities and the effectiveness of special operations, as evidenced by the signs. One of them is the familiar Mi-24. But the second is very similar to the American multi-purpose helicopter UH-60 Black Hawk.
The deliveries of Black Hawk UH-60 helicopters to Ukraine have not been reported previously. However, Ukraine Weapons Tracker experts believe this particular instance was purchased privately with Allied funding.
Ace Aeronautics has restored and upgraded the former US Army helicopter to match its livery, but it still has several modifications, including the ability to mount sensors.
The UH-60 Black Hawk is a multi-purpose helicopter used by the US Army since the mid-1970s. The crew consists of three people. The helicopter can carry 11 people or six lying patients or wounded. The maximum takeoff weight is 11.1 tons.
The UH-60 Black Hawk is armed with two 18.80 hp engines, a maximum speed of 296 km /h, a practical range of 584 km, and a patrol time of 2 hours 6 minutes. Air-to-air and air-to-surface guided missiles are included in the helicopter.
The helicopter is in a variety of variations and modifications, including the export version of the S-70i Black Hawk. These are the ones Poland received at the end of last year, and, according to some sources, this version appears in the GUR MO's photo. According to Ukraine Weapons Tracker, the board in the video is not the Polish S-70i, but the original version of the UH-60A.
