The Switch 2 is the tiiiiiime for everyone's favorite quiz show! The United Kingdom's government has recently reviewed the Microsoft-Activision deal, claiming that it might be somewhat unjustified.
Is there anything else that NSO might be doing? Would they be bringing a service called 'Nintendo Switch Online' to a console that isn't the Nintendo Switch? Might they have just been stating that it wasn't really a direct competitor to Game Pass, anyway? It's quite possible that instead the [redacted] is the Switch successor console, unknown by its unknown name.
It's there, after all. In a 2020 investor presentation, Ars Technica states that the services would be available and expanded on subsequent consoles, but this discloses nothing about a release date, specifications, or anything at all. In fact, looking at Ninty's 2023 lineup, it appears the company is obliging to postpone that announcement until next year at the very least.
We'll continue to soak up every inch of rumors and hearsay as soon as we learn more (or not!) about the Switch 2.
