Angry Birds is coming to an end. The classic mobile game, now known as Rovio Classics: Angry Birds, will be removed from the Google Play Store this Thursday.
According to a business case review, the original Angry Birds will no longer be available on Google Play Store for Android users to download. Red's First Flight will be rebranded for iOS.
"Rovio Classics: Angry Birds will be removed from the Google Play Store on Thursday, February 23," according to the statement. Also, the game will be renamed "Red's First Flight" in the App Store pending further investigation."
Angry Birds is being delisted by Rovio, who sincerely apologizes to Android users who played the game since it was released in 2009 and the filmmakers who made it so popular that it eventually became a film adaptation. Just remember not to delete it accidentally if you're trying to free up storage space on your phone.
Now is your chance to get Angry Birds before it disappears. For iPhone users, the game may be changed, but it will remain the same.
