Blumhouse Productions has started a new subsidiary to develop and publish video games, named Zach Wood and Don Sechler as its new CEO.

Blumhouse Games plans to invest approximately $15 million on 15 games over the next three to four years, spending about US$25 million on each slate. They aim to produce immersive horror games with a budget of less than US$10 million for consoles and PCs.

President Abhijay Prakash of Blumhouse said: "Because we're not doing enough," says Prakash.

Zach Wood, the president of Blumhouse Games, said: "There's nothing wrong with that."

Zach Wood has been a video game producer for over 25 years, including Sound Shapes, Hohokum, The Unfinished Swan and Bound at Santa Monica Studio, PlayStation, Prey and Redfall at Arkane/Bethesda, and most recently, Iron Galaxy.

The Invisible Man, Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Split, Get Out, Halloween, Us, and M3GAN are just a few of the most well-known modern horror films of recent memory.
