North Korean Media Reported On Kim Jong un's Activities

Chairman of the State Council of the DPRK Kim Jong-un expressed gratitude and appreciation to the workers of the largest construction site in recent years in the city of Samjien. This was reported on Sunday by the Central newspaper of the people's Republic, Rodong Sinmun.

"Dear Supreme leader comrade Kim Jong-un thanked the workers who sincerely and wholeheartedly contributed to the creation of the city of Samjiyong," the article emphasizes. At the same time, the publication does not give other details about when the message of gratitude was sent to the builders, as well as where the head of the people's Republic is currently located.

At the same time, the Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) reported on Sunday morning that Kim Jong-un received a congratulatory telegram from the head of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov on the occasion of the anniversary of the April 25, 2019 summit of the leaders of Russia and North Korea in Vladivostok. The message wishes prosperity to the Korean people and good health and happiness to Kim Jong-un.

The North Korean leader has not appeared in public since April 11, when he held a meeting of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) on domestic policy. In particular, Kim Jong-un did not attend the April 12 annual session of the Supreme People's Assembly (GNC), and for the first time in the years of his rule, did not participate in the ceremony at the Kymsusan Palace of the Sun, which was held on April 15 on the occasion of the 108th anniversary of the birth of Kim Il-Sung.

The absence of Kim Jong-un in the ranks of the country's leadership on the main national holiday has given rise to rumors about the possible illness of the leader of the DPRK, which are currently not commented on by officials and media of the people's Republic and are not confirmed by sources in Pyongyang.
