Take-Two Interactive announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 had sold more than 175 million copies worldwide as of December 31, 2022. The entire "GTA" series, which was launched in 1997, has sold more than 395 million copies.
Grand Theft Auto 5 sold a total of 170 million copies at the time of its release, demonstrating how rapidly the film continues to expand — by 5 million in the holiday quarter.
