Sales have dramatically decreased in the second month.

Kitfox Games, the creator of Dwarf Fortress, has released its second month of sales. From December 6, 2022 to February 6, 2023, more than 606,000 copies of the game have been sold.

Dwarf Fortress sales slowed considerably in the second month. In the first month, about 500,000 copies were sold on Steam, while in the second, about 100,000 copies were sold.

Here's a second story.

Despite the fact that the game's revenue is still significantly higher than expected, the company's president, Tanya Short, forecasted that it would sell for over 200,000 copies in two months.

Only about five thousand copies have been sold on Steam and on the itch.io site, where Dwarf Fortress is also sold.

Dwarf Fortress made $8.23 million in its first month of sales, according to a report from the game's creators.
