Nintendo is promising a 10% wage rise despite a lower profit forecast ...

Nintendo has announced that their base salary would be increased by 10% for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, despite lowering their profit prediction and software sales forecasted for the year ending March 31, 2023. This base pay adjustment is likely to be a response to pressures from Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kushida to raise wages in order to keep up with inflation.

It's nice to see a company stand behind its employees, whatever the reason. Nintendo's president has also stated that the company does not intend to raise hardware and software prices at this time, although they would consider it if circumstances warrant it.
