Overwatch 2 Season 3 will be released today, February 7th 2023, bringing with it a slew of new features and enhancements. There's plenty to enjoy this time, including a new map, new events, competitive updates, and the game's first crossover event.
New and Returning Content
Every new season brings new content. 'Ultimate Valentine', a brand new event that will take place on February 14th to February 28th, is also on the way. It'll be interesting to see what this means for future crossover skins.
The workshop is making a comeback, allowing players to make their own complex game modes later today. Numbani and Havana are also making a comeback this season, although the two have not been released until Overwatch 1.
Updates to Battle Pass and Competitively
Kiriko's Battle Pass' mythic skin 'Amaterasu', resembling the Japanese Goddess of the Sun, provides additional rewards rather than having to buy it again and again.
The changes to your skill Tier in competitive will now be performed more swiftly. After every 5 wins or 15 losses (previously every 7 wins or 20 losses), you'll see the changes. This includes a partial rework of parts of Mercy's kit, while Ramattra will receive some nerfs.
Overwatch 2 Season 3 has some new features to look forward to, including the Pachimarchi Limited Time event and 'Loverwatch,' an upcoming Overwatch 2 dating simulator.
