'Love is Blind: Brazil' is a series of Netflix singles who are able to meet, mingle, and get engaged to their true love, unaware of the consequences of their actions. The prime example for this is actually Nancy Rodriguez and Bartise Bowden from the third installment of the franchise's US iteration, only for another duo to now be a part of the category. Amanda Souza and Paulo Lopes from the second season of 'Love is Blind: Brazil'
Amanda and Paulo's journey in the pods was by no means perfect because to his attraction to Bruna Ferreira, yet things changed once the latter walked out midway through filming. In fact, Amanda suggested, to which he gladly replied yes. At that moment, Paulo was unsure whether or not he would handle such a strong lady.
What happened to Amanda Souza?
Amanda managed to walk out of the dinner knowing she had given her heart to someone worthy. "I'm still amazed and grateful," she said.
Amanda continues to work as a proud Image Consultant at her base in Brazil, where she is surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones. She continues to strive to become a body positivity, lifestyle, and beauty influencer as well.
Amanda, 36, claims that her profession is "not about dressing, it's about identity," something she'd once lost due to relationships, but she's determined never to lose again. Despite her many tough days, she continues to fight through her hardships because, well, she's still strong.
What Has Happened to Paulo Lopes?
The first thing we need to mention about Paulo is that he and Bruna Ferreira are actually married, according to both their private Instagram profiles. The latter had once imagined she'd marry someone by his name, but the way they'd parted ways was not entirely pleasant.
Bruna, the Intensive Care Physician, left the show about mid-way through her time in the pods because she couldn't stand being left without friends, family, or social interactions. However, before doing so, the "free spirit" had urged Paulo to leave alongside her as she was his first and only option. Yet he refused, declaring that he never "gives up" on anything.
Bruna said while walking away, misinterpreting Paulo on what she'd meant. "When you give up on something, how can I trust you'll fight for our relationship?" That's until he and Amanda met.
Paulo, a Wharton Executive Education degree student, works as a Senior Talent Research Partner at Twilio, a communications company in So Paulo, Brazil, but it doesn't make much difference anyway since he already enjoys traveling — and has been to "24 countries and counting."
