Orlando Brown and his legal team are requesting a mental evaluation ahead of his upcoming Ohio criminal court case, according to TMZ. If found to be insane, Brown might be able to plead not guilty.
Brown, 35, was sentenced to $25,000 in prison for the first-degree misdemeanor charge of aggravated menacing in December. He has since been placed on house arrest because to a mental evaluation that resulted in insanity.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ohio authorities were called to a residence in December.
According to the victim, Brown reportedly threatened a man with a hammer and a "broken off knife blade." Both weapons were confiscated from the residence.
Brown has been previously charged with domestic abuse, prostitution, narcotics, and DUI charges. Back in 2018, the troubled star joined Dr. Phil for an intervention-style interview, which was reportedly encouraged by one of Brown's friends.
In the teaser for the episode, Orlando's friend says: "He does not have a chance."
Brown, who wore green snake-eyed contact lenses, remained adolescent, continuing to profane outrageous statements, such as that "he is Michael Jackson's son." See the episode below.
