In 2022, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sales increased to 20 million ...

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sales have topped Nintendo's annual financial report for 2022. They were released late in the year, but by the end of the year, they had already sold 20.61 million copies on the Nintendo platform.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's lifetime sales rate is still below Pokemon Sword and Shield. Both games are well-known as mainstay titles, while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's popularity falls behind. Despite this, it still sold 6.3 million more copies in 2022, bringing the total number of copies sold for the Switch to over 52 million.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sales might have been higher if the Switch platform as a whole had a better forecast. Nintendo stated that it would miss its sales targets in 2022 and that the Switch hardware was on a "downward" trend. Shuntaro Furukawa, the company's president, did not say whether or not the Switch would be released soon.

Scarlet and Violet are now available on Nintendo Switch. Tandemaus will be the focus of the next round of Tera Raid battles.
