Trolley, a Netflix K-Drama series, will have a second season, and its renewed or canceled status.
Trolley is a multilayered comedy, which deals with the lives of the book conservator Kim Hye-joo (Kim Hyun-joo), and assemblyman Nam Joong-do (Park Hee-soon), who are forced into both their own struggles and marital strife, all of which are punctuated by persistent secrets and revelations throughout the show's run.
The first season of Ready Steady Cut received a 4/5 rating, citing: "This K-Drama is certainly worth the investment." This political comedy strewn with hints of mystery promises viewers a good viewing experience.
Trolley launched on Netflix and SBS on December 19, 2022, and will finish its 16-episode run on February 14, 2023, which is one week later than initially planned due to the Lunar New Year festivities.
Will there be a season 2 of the K-Drama series Trolley, which has been renewed or canceled?
Netflix or SBS have yet to confirm whether or not there will be a Season 2 of Trolley.
Trolley is unlikely to be given a second season due to its decent (but unspectacular) ratings and compelling plot. For one, most shows today prefer a one-and-done approach, which results in less episodes lasting longer than 16 episodes. As well as this, Hye-joo's tragic life cannot be extended for the purpose of it, nor can additional twists be added at a later date.
The writers are unlikely to make a major shift and focus on a different family completely in a follow-up, but it's fun to speculate while we can.
If there is anything new to report on Trolley Season 2, please keep us informed.
