More than 100 games are in the works for PlayStation VR2

More than 100 games are in the works for PlayStation VR2 ...

PlayStation VR2 is receiving extensive software support. According to Sony, more than 100 compatible VR games are in the works.

PlayStation VR2 will be released in two weeks, with over 30 compatible games already available during the launch period, with Horizon Call of the Mountain and Gran Turismo 7 leading the way.

More games are on the way, as reported by Sony, and more than 100 games are being developed for PlayStation VR2, so owners of the headset, which costs 599.99 euros, might be in for a surprise or two.

PSVR2 isn't designed to be backward compatible with the original PSVR generation. Rather, existing games must be explicitly adapted by the developers.

Sony explains why: “The PSVR2 is designed to provide a next-gen VR experience with advanced features such as haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, inside-out tracking, gaze tracking, and more.”

Several developers have announced that they will be bringing their PSVR games to the new headset. Most of these are free upgrades. Other times customers are asked to pay again, as in the case of "Moss" and "Moss 2" shows.

Sony has also clarified whether or not PSVR2 will include activity cards: "Yes, like PS5 games, activity cards for PSVR2 games may be supported," according to the company.

The Sense controller may also be used without a headset, but...

The new Sense controllers, which support touch recognition, are also capable of controlling PSVR2 games. However, are they only compatible with VR games?

The PSVR2 Sense controller can be used with the PS5 console without the need for a PSVR2 headset, according to Sony.

Sony has announced that the Sense controller would not be able to be used for games that are not supported by the PSVR2. In addition, it is currently not available separately.
