Maria Shriver revealed her disappointment at her 2011 separation from Terminator legend Arnold Schwarzenegger. “I went to a convent, a cloistered convent, and to be in silence and look for advice,” she said during the Monday, February 6 podcast episode of Making Space.
Maria didn't receive the answer she anticipated. "She said, "You can't come here," but you do have permission to go out and become Maria." The acclaimed journalist said she was emotional. "I was, like, sobbing."
Arnold and Maria's relationship dissolved in 2011 amid a public scandal. They'd been married for 25 years before word of their engagement struck. However, Joseph Baena was already a teenager. They parted ways over the affair in 2021.
"Arnold and Maria's divorce is finally done," said an insider as their ten-year divorce finally came to an end. "They have been working with a private judge on everything. Their family understands what has gone on and that part of their lives is no longer relevant."
