Rockfish Games' independent German studio has announced the release date for their open-world space action game Everspace 2 from early access, as well as the list of target platforms for the game.
Everspace 2, a game that has been in early access since January 2021, will be available on PC on April 6 (Steam, GOG, Microsoft Store, PC Game Pass), with a price drop already on February 20.
Everspace 2 will be released this summer on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and will be optimized for Steam Deck play. The PS4 and Xbox One versions were previously canceled — Kickstarter contributors will be given a refund if necessary.

Everspace 2 has been in development for over five years. The developers have invested a "tidy eight-figure" sum in the game, released six major updates, and are now finishing polishing the release material.
Rockfish Games' major features include:
The main storyline with several side ones will now be 30 hours, while the whole passage will take more than 90 hours; at launch, the game will have German and English dubs, as well as text translation into 13 languages, including Russian (localization was supposed to be released last spring), new enemies, bosses, rewards, and equipment for the ship, enhanced cutscenes, and fixed bugs.
A free content upgrade is planned for the second half of 2023, and a major addition is planned for mid-2024, which is already being developed.
Everspace 2 has been positioned by the authors as a fast-paced single-player space action game with a hand-crafted open world, exciting story, role-playing abilities, and a lot of loot.
