The first part of the Collar x Malice -deep cover- anime film has been released, with Avex Pictures acting as the distributor.
Kaede Hondo will play Ichika Hoshino, while Katsuyuki Konishi will play Mitsuru Sowa, an original character created by Mai Hanamura, who also drew the key visual.
Other previously announced cast members include:

- Soma Saito as Mineo Enomoto
- Daisuke Namikawa as Takeru Sasazuka
- Ryohei Kimura as Kageyuki Shiraishi
The visual novel Collar x Malice was developed by Idea Factory, under the Otomate brand. It was first released in Japan in 2016 exclusively for the PlayStation Vita, then released by Aksys Games in 2017 for North America and Europe, and it will be released on Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Collar x Malice is listed with the following synopsis:A dangerous shadow organization begins a campaign of fear and violence in the city of Shinjuku, putting society on the brink of catastrophe. Five mysterious strangers appear to assist you in your quest for the truth. Will you be able to save yourself and the city of Shinjuku from the clutches of evil?
