Offset defends his friendship with his late cousin Takeoff and retaliates against music CEO J Prince's comments. J Prince was on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast three months after Takeoff's tragic death.
"You weren't really right there with Takeoff when he was alive," J Prince said about Offset. "You know what I'm talking about? I've got people everywhere, so I hear all kinds of things."
Offset must "never place me in a position where I have to defend myself," according to J Prince. "I'm just gonna let it be known to him. Because I'm aware of what's being said."
Offset mocked J Prince for failing to mention his mother and Takeoff's relationship in interviews.
Offset took two weeks to grieve before declaring on Instagram that discussing Takeoff's death was "unreal." "I know someone with a spirit like yours is in heaven right now."
Offset was seen to be extremely sorry for his friend's death at the November 10 funeral and said that Takeoff "changed the culture of music forever." Migos was formed in 2008 by Offset and Quavo.
