Peter Marrs has been named as Dell Technologies' new president for Asia Pacific and Japan. He will succeed Amit Midha, who has decided to leave the company.
He'll be responsible for the company's Asia Pacific & Japan region, which includes countries such as Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. He'll report directly to John Byrne, who's the president of Sales, Global Theaters, and Dell Technologies Select.
Marrs is a graduate of Syracuse University and Lemoyne College with a Bachelor of Science in Business. He has the education and experience to drive corporate strategy and sales in the region.
"I'm thrilled to have Peter lead our business in this crucial region. He has a deep appreciation and respect for Dell's customers and partners in the region," said Byrne.
"The opportunities at APJ are limitless, and I'm thrilled to lead Dell's regional business," said Marrs. "We have a talented team, a strong portfolio of solutions, and a culture that encourages innovation. We are well placed to assist our customers and partners in APJ in their digital transformation journeys, as well as to drive our regional expansion."
Marrs has been in the game for over 30 years and has spent a significant portion of that time at Dell Technologies. He has also held various senior management roles internationally as well as in the region.
Marrs has been involved in both enterprise and client businesses in Asia Pacific and Japan. Most recently, he was the senior vice president of APJ Enterprise Solutions, vice president of APJ Solutions Sales, president & general manager of Dell Korea, and executive director of Solutions Sales for ASEAN.
