Pedro Pascal, who played Mario on Saturday Night Live this week, hosted the show. He also played Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser, and even Mario Kart in a parody trailer.
Pedro Pascal himself plays Mario, Chloe Fineman plays Princess Peach, Kenan Thompson plays Yoshi (Bowen Yang), and in the funny spoof trailer, Pedro even sings Mario's famous refrain, "It's-a me, Mario."
A world depicted in the fake Mario trailer was created ten years after the destruction of the mushroom kingdom. Now they are facing off against Goombas, the insect version of the infected Clickers.
Mario, played by Pedro Pascal, eats mushrooms and becomes angryly defensive, claiming that he eats them because they make him "feel big."
