On Sunday night, February 5, Doja Cat appeared in stunning black gowns made of latex-like materials. The real highlight, however, was the long train that accompanied the couture ensemble, which was handled by Doja's dedicated staff!
She was nominated for a record-breaking five Grammys, including a nomination for her "Vegas" video for "Woman," as well as a Best Pop Duo for "I Like You (A Happier Song)" with Post Malone.
Doja Cat follows in the long line of pop princesses who also express their artistry via fashion, like Lady Gaga or Madonna, according to People. The glittering outfit was created by celeb makeup artist Pat McGrath, according to Doja.
"[It's] an inventive look," she said of the eye-catching outfit at the 2021 MTV VMAs, which she described as a "piece of art."
Doja's manager, Gordon Dillard, explained in a Variety interview that her performance is "nearly finished." He added that his team has "only scratched the surface" of Doja's capabilities. "We're always thinking long-term," he said.
