During her December interview on The Howard Stern Show, Lizzo talked about her relationship with Myke. "I still was very much not where I wanted to be professionally," she said. "Despite the fact that I had these wild defenses up, it was all very surface."
"If you love something and you let it go, it comes back to you," she said. "And then when the time came right we came together, and we just recently were like, 'Oh, we're together. This is official.' We're no longer playing games with each other."
