In the setting of the zombie apocalypse Dying Light, Techland's CEO, Pawel Marchevka, praised both parts of the famous parkour action game.
As it turns out, the two games have already sold more than 30 million copies, proving that such an achievement is a great incentive for developers to continue developing – even if a certain new series with an open fantasy world is already in development.
While the CEO of Techland did not disclose the percentage of total sales for the first and second part, there is still open information as of April last year: then the first part was bought 20 million times (which took more than seven years), and the second – 5 million (then less than a month had passed since the release).
The second part of the studio's involvement is expected to last several years longer. Moreover, in some areas, the studio intends to attract the attention of the audience and other media in this franchise, although there are no specifics yet.
