Here's why the Samsung Galaxy S23 does not include satellite connectivity ...

Although the Galaxy S23 was initially intended to have a satellite connection last year, it appears to have been dropped.

Samsung's president and head of the mobile experience division, TM Roh, confirmed that the Galaxy S23 lineup does not have satellite connectivity, and explained the reason behind it. Essentially, Samsung believes that the technology in its current state is inadequate.

Samsung isn't stating that they will rule out everything at all. According to Roh, Samsung is keeping its options open, and when the time comes and the technology is ready, they will include it in future devices.

The iPhone 14's satellite capability has been designed to provide users with a means of contacting for assistance in situations where regular cell coverage is unavailable. It is clear that there are advantages to it, and it is likely that more handset manufacturers will introduce this feature in the future.
