Today, Discord voice chat is available to select participants in the PS5 system software beta program in the United States, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. In the future, the availability will be extended to all PS5 owners.
Participants to the PS5 Beta can play multiplayer games on their PS5 or connect to Discord-Chat friends on their phones.
On the console, all familiar Discord controls may be used, including the included microphone.
With the latest beta system software, there are also new social features that make playing together easier.
Improvement to the game library. Games can be sorted and filtered when adding them to the game list when PS VR2 launches later this month. DualSense wireless controllers are now available.
