Susan Lucci was asked whether she still connected with Sarah Michelle Gellar, her former television daughter. However, the lovely daytime TV queen said nothing but kind things about the Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress during a live interview at the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection Concert on Wednesday, February 1.
Sarah, 45, made her comeback in the 1990s as Erica Kane, Susan Lucci's legendary All My Children character. She later appeared as a guest in 2011 as the program concluded its 41-year run on the air.
Sarah has also had wonderful things to say about her time on the show. "I learned incredible work habits," she said in a September 2021 interview. "I'm incredibly grateful for that time and the people that I met."
Susan has stated in the past that she would bring back Erica Kane, who she has never met. "I would listen — I would always listen!" Susan told HollywoodLife in 2020.
