Tarek El Moussa and her wife Heather Rae El Moussa have welcomed their first child, according to her Instagram story on February 2. "Our baby boy is here." they wrote with a white heart in an Instagram caption on February 2, alongside a photo of her and Tarek holding the couple in both of their hands. "Our hearts are so happy," she said in the joint statement.
Heather revealed to PEOPLE that she was expecting a child on July 13, 2022. "We just weren't expecting this." She said, "When you least expect it and there's no stress in your life, the world just brings us what is meant to be." Tarek's children include Taylor, 12, and Brayden, 7.
Heather previously told HollywoodLife that she did not want children of her own, but joining Taylor and Brayden's lives changed her mind. “We don't know how life's going to change or what the future holds,” the former Playboy model said in January, months before getting pregnant.
"I've begun thinking about having a baby," she continued, adding that they "talked" about freezing embryos as well. "We're on the same page."
Heather announced she's expecting a boy on July 25, and she's spent the last few months documenting her feelings as her due date approached. For instance, on September 12, she shared a mirroe selfie with her baby bump on full display and wrote about wanting to meet her baby already but also realizing she has to enjoy the moment. "There are days when I really don't want him to be here already but I'm really working on getting him to process mentally."
Tarek shared his thoughts as he prepares to become a father for the third time. He wrote in a photo of himself holding Heater's baby bump, saying, "My kids and my family are my life."
