Crystal Renay has announced that Ne-Yo's divorce from Crystal Renay has been resolved in court. The singer-songwriter will now pay nearly $2 million in a settlement to his ex-wife, which Renay accused Ne-Yo of cheating.
The couple, who have three children together, first married in 2016 before splitting in 2020. However, they reconciled later and tied the knot in April 2022.
Ne-Yo will pay around $2 million to Renay as part of a divorce settlement.
Renay, a 43-year-old singer, will pay $1.6 million to her for their real estate holdings. She will also pay an additional $20,000 for her relocation expenses.
According to rumors, Ne-Yo decided to keep their 2022 Bentley Bentayga and would give $150,000 to his ex-wife so she may buy a new one for herself. He will also be responsible for their education expenses.
Both parties have agreed to not have romantic partners around their minor children until they get engaged to marry, and will have to sign a consent form from each other. Renay will also receive $5,000 in monthly alimony from the Because of You singer.
Renay announced his separation from Ne-Yo in August 2022.
Ne-Yo and Renay have been married for the last few years. In February 2017, the two divorced each other in 2020. They then decided to give their relationship a second chance after the Covid epidemic.
Renay shared an emotional Instagram post just five months after revealing that she was dating Ne-Yo. She wrote, "8 years of lies and deception."
"After eight years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with dozens of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected... every last one of them!" she added.
"To forego my commitment to this is utterly ridiculous," says the narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something they are not. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and respect.
“I gained three beautiful children as a result of this, but I also suffered years of wasted time and heartache. If someone doesn't love you the way you deserve, then it's your responsibility to love yourself,” Ne-Yo concluded.
