Wolverine, a PlayStation and Insomniac Games game, will be a M rating, with a release date of Fall 2024.
Jeff Grubb revealed that Marvel's Wolverine would be rated M for mature and would be released sometime in the Fall 2024 release window on GiantBomb's Game Mess Mornings.
According to Grubb, Marvel's Wolverine will be released a year after Spider-Man 2 in Fall 2024. However, he noted that Insomniac is internally debating a release date for 2025, implying that things aren't set in stone at this time in time.
Grubb shared several details on the gameplay, including that Marvel's Wolverine would likely have human dismemberment that Respawn was unable to include in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order due to its T for teen rating. Similarly, the game will not have an open world, much like God of War's.
Wolverine, a game created by Insomniac Games and PlayStation in collaboration with Marvel Games, is currently in development on PS5.
Insomniac Games previously stated that the other game in its development, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, would be released in Fall 2023. Users have been able to see it on their wishlist as well as recently shared some interesting details about the character's participation in the game.
Todd suggested that Venom might be included in set-pieces similar to the one featuring Rhino in Spider-Man Miles Morales. He emphasised the scene where Miles is chasing down Rhino while smashing through windows.
