Today, Disney+ and Lucasfilm announced not only a release date for Star Wars: Visions season 2, but also the nine animation studios that will each develop a new short film set somewhere, somewhere in the Star Wars universe. This season of the show will draw on international talents to fill in existing characters' background and introduce new ones.

El Guiri (Spain), Punkrobot (Chile), Aardman (United Kingdom), Studio La Cachette (France), 88 Pictures (India), D’art Shtajio (Japan), and Triggerfish (South Africa) are among the nine new animation studios featured.

Each of the nine stories in Star Wars: Visions season 2 received a title and a director. You may view the whole story on each studio and their respective shorts below, ahead of the release date of May 4.

'Screecher's Reach' is the title of a film.

Cartoon Saloon in Studio

Paul Young, the director, is a professional musician.

Paul Young is an IFTA winner, an Emmy®, and BAFTA nominee, as well as award-winning television series Puffin Rock, Dorg Van Dango, and Viking Skool.

"In the Stars," according to the title.

Punkrobot, a studio, is now open.

Gabriel Osorio, a writer-director, has been chosen to work on the project.

Gabriel Osorio graduated from the Universidad de Chile with a focus on 3D animation, before founding Punkrobot Studio. Since 2008, he has directed projects for children's television, including Flipos, Muelin y Perlita, Soccer Girls, and television commercials.

"I Am Your Mother," according to the title.

Aardman's Studio

Magdalena Osinska, the director, is an artist.

Magdalena Osinska, an award-winning director, has directed eight years at Aardman. She has directed stop-motion, CGI, 2D, and live-action commercials, including Wallace & Gromit's "The Great Sofa Caper" and "Share the Orange." She has directed several films, including Spirits of the Piano and Zbigniev's Cupboard.

"Journey to the Dark Head" is the title of the film.

Mir Studio is a studio located in the Mir district.

Hyeong Geun Park, the director, is an excellent entertainer.

Hyeong Geun Park, a rising star, had already established himself in the Korean animation industry in 2017 owing to his strong drawing and animation skills. He has worked on Dota: Dragon's Blood: Book 3 (2022) and Lookism (2022), among others.

"The Spy Dancer" is the title of a film.

Studio: La Cachette

Julien Chheng, a writer-director, has been writing and directing since 2012.

Julien Chheng is the CEO of Studio La Cachette, an Emmy Award®-winning French animation studio that he co-founded in 2014 with Oussama Bouacheria and Ulysse Malassagne. He has worked on the highly-acclaimed 2D animated films The Rabbi's Cat, Mune, and the Academy Award®-nominated Ernest and Celestine. Ishan Shukla, the director, is a well-known artist.

Ishan Shukla began his career as a CG artist in Singapore. His 2016 animated short, "Schirkoa," was nominated for an Academy Award® and was nominated at 120 international competitions, including SIGGRAPH Asia's Best in Show. He then established his own studio to work on adult-oriented feature films, including a feature-length version of Schirkoa, scheduled to launch in summer 2023.

The Pit is named after the author.

D'art Shtajio and Lucasfilm Ltd. are the studios.

LeAndre Thomas is a writer, director, and executive producer.

Justin Ridge is the co-director.

LeAndre Thomas is an award-winning writer and director from Oakland, Calif., who won Best Director at the Pasadena International Film Festival. Thomas is also a member of the Lucasfilm Ltd. franchise studio team, having worked on numerous films over the years including Light & Magic, The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, and other.

Justin Ridge is the executive producer of the Emmy®-nominated series Star Wars Resistance. He has also worked on Star Wars Rebels, Storks, The Cleveland Show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Triggerfish Studio

Daniel Clarke and Nadia Darries, both screenwriters, have been directing.

Nadia Darries is a director, animator, and co-founder of Goon Valley Animation, with an affinity for songwriting. Since 2015, Darries has worked on award-winning BBC films as an animator, project manager, creative director, and director.

Daniel Clarke is a Cape Town-based filmmaker and artist working in animation, film, and illustration. He has worked as a production designer, art director, and director on projects such as the feature film Khumba, The BBC's Stick Man, and The Snail and the Whale. In 2018, together with James Clarke and Daniel Snaddon, he completed the graphic novel Kariba.
