In 2023 and beyond, here are a few highlights from DC movies and shows. [February Update] ...

We'll be updating this page throughout 2023. We look forward to seeing what fans can expect from the DC franchise.

The last update will be on February 1, 2023.

Batgirl's shocking extinction, the unpredictability of DC's universe's direction, and a power play for the universe by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, James Gunn, and Peter Safran have been brought in to repair the ship. And they will face a difficult task.

The first steps were centered around removing the old universe. With Henry Cavill's dismissal as Superman following a teased role in Black Adam, Patty Jenkins' departure from Wonder Woman 3 and her dealing with the Ezra Miller situation, it's clear that the Synderverse, the DCEU's nickname given to Zack Synder and his vision, is no longer alive.

Gunn has finally revealed the first part of the first chapter of his story, titled Gods and Monsters, following a ten-project process that will set the tone for a new age, the Gunnverse.

Gunn wants all games, films, and television to be linked to a larger canon, such as Star Wars. Anything that isn't part of the main canon will be renamed a DC Elseworlds story, their own multiverse. That's something that has upset some fans, but is ultimately what the universe needs to thrive.

In 2023 and beyond, here are some new DC movies and shows to watch.

Here is the schedule of future DCU projects for 2023 and beyond. Projects may be moved forward, delayed, or completely canceled.

Confirmed:

Fans of the Harley Quinn animated series will get a Valentine's Day special, no doubt recognizing the friendship between Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. Harley is forced to promise to keep her plans to a minimum, but that's unlikely to happen.

Shazam (actually, he should be called Captain Marvel, but that's a separate story for another feature) was a surprise for DC as the funny superhero romp became a smash hit with audiences. The stakes are certainly high for this second installment, as shown in the teaser.

Fans of the Titans were dealt a dismal blow when they learned that season four and part two of the Titans' story would come out in April, although no official release date has been released. It's not James Gunn's fault, as he claimed on Twitter that the cancellation decision preceded his taking over DC.

The Flash TV show will come to an end, and the film will pretty much take that property and continue to pursue it on the silver screen. Season 9 will have thirteen episodes.

The Flash's long-awaited feature film debut has sparked much debate over its strange series of events that revolved around the film's lead actress, Ezra Miller. Michael Keaton is expected to reprise his Batman costume in the feature, as well as Supergirl, and reset the current DCU ready for James Gunn.

Jaime Reyes will take on the role of the teenager, and other actors will take on the role of George Lopez and Susan Sarandon.

Aquaman did quite well at the box office, but there has been a lot of controversy behind the scenes for the follow-up. The whole Amber Heard incident put the brakes on the production, and the film's schedule was put on hold for more than a year.

Gotham Knights will be a television show after the video game Batman. Turner Hayes, played by Oscar Morgan, forms an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman's villains to clear their parents' names from the murder of Batman. But the District Attorney Harvey Dent, played by Misha Collins, is on the receiving end of all of this drama.

As of now, season 4, part 2, has no release date. This will be the last season.

The final episode of the Harley Quinn animated series received a hint for a second season, and Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that the hit animated show will return for a second season. The release date hasn't been released yet, but the company has stated that it will be released this year.

The sequel to the 2019 film Joker will feature Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. The film's title is appropriate for a mental illness, as it is unclear how this will manifest. Brendon Gleeson will also take part, but his role hasn't been confirmed yet.

James Gunn, who will direct the first chapter of the new DCU, has revealed that he will write the film, which will not be a source story for the Man of Steel.

Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson's Batman franchise is getting its second installment. At this point, little is known, but the film will likely follow the Joker's lead at the end.

James Gunn set his sights on Peacemaker, spinning off into his own show on HBO Max. It's not exactly a super-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper-duper

Matt Reeves' TV spin-off with Oswald Cobblepot was a lot of speculation following his performance in The Batman, but the show appears to be being postponed while the film is still in the works, and it does not appear to be expected in 2023.

After 18 years since the original film was released, Keanu Reeves will reprise his role as John Constantine, who was hunted by demons. Frank Lawrence will direct the film, and Akiva Goldsman will write the screenplay. The release date is unknown.

The first chapter of the unofficial beginning of the animated series will focus on the Nazi fighting animals of Creature Commandos. They will be brought into the modern age, and James Gunn is looking for voice actors to play the characters in live action. It will run for seven episodes.

Waller will be a spin off from Peacemaker following Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), who leads a morally dubious government task force. It will be written by Christal Henry (Watchmen) and Jeremy Carver, the creators of the Doom Patrol television series.

The upcoming Lanterns TV show will feature several Green Lanterns, but the program will focus primarily on Hal Jordan and John Stewart, as they try to solve a mystery on Earth. This mystery will certainly play a role in the future of the DC Universe.

This film will feature a rather extreme group of superheroes who believe the world is in jeopardy and must take it into their own hands to correct it. They will be morally gray, and were introduced to DC comics in the 1990s by now Head of DC publishing Jim Lee.

Before the hero is born, Wonder Woman's home of Themiscyria will be discussed. It will be a Game of Thrones style political thriller with lots of plotting and game play.

Damian Wayne is a murderous adolescent raised by assassins, and he is also the DCU's version of Robin from Grant Morrison.

Booster Gold will focus on a lesser-known DC hero, who was first introduced in the comics in 1986. He is from the future and a bit of a loser, so he takes some basic futuristic technology and travels back to the past as a hero. James Gunn has explained that this will be an exploration of Imposter Syndrome, but as a superhero.

This sci-fi epic will be based on the Tom King comics mini series and will have a much different perspective on the character than previously. This Supergirl is much darker because she has seen everyone she loves being killed in horrible ways.

Swamp Thing is a DC villain who has already appeared in video games and has already had his own TV series in 2019 called Swamp Thing.

So, here's a list of the upcoming DC Shows and Movies in 2023 and beyond!
