Stan Lee created the popular Marvel comics, including Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Hulk, and Iron Man, in 2008, followed by five more films, culminating with The Avengers in 2012, which ended Phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

There is no sign that they will stop the film and television series that are so successful. particularly now, Marvel has access to the X-Men and The Fantastic Four as a result of Disney purchasing 20th Century Fox, allowing them to place all of these comic book characters in their own multiverse.

In Phases five and six, the MCU has a lot of content to look forward to. Here's a list of live-action films and shows you can expect from the MCU going forward. Some of the films and series on this list have specific release dates that you may add to your calendar right now.

The following is a list of current MCU projects for 2023 and beyond. Dates may vary depending on whether the projects are put forward, delayed, or entirely canceled.

On Disney+, Marvel Studios will release a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and the cast and crew reflect on Chadwick Boseman's life and character King T'Challa.

In the teaser, we got our first real look at Jonathan Majors Kang, who will play the titular hero in The Multiverse Saga.

Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, along with Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, travel to the Quantum Realm, where they meet strange creatures, and embark on an adventure that transcends their expectations.

The film "Voices Rising: Wakanda Forever" will take the audience through its creation and the collaboration with several artists from around the world. It's not clear how many episodes this documentary will include.

The second installment of the alternate universe anthological series is expected to be released early next year. The first episode has only been available because of the following: "Steve Rogers, is a long-dead man until he is discovered alive as the evil Hydra Stomper." There is also a season three of What If...? in the works.

On Disney+, the six-episode miniseries will launch at the start of 2023, and the show promises to go deeper into the life of the former S.H.I.E.L.D director. Don Cheadle's War Machine will be included, and his participation will lead directly into his upcoming film Armor Wars.

Official premise: Fury and Talos are attempting to de-escalate the Skrulls who have infiltrated the highest spheres of the Marvel Universe.

The highly anticipated third Guardians of the Galaxy film is expected to be released in May of next year. Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and Dave Bautista, the film is written by James Gunn.

Since 2019, Captain Marvel's anticipated sequel has been in the works. All three release dates have been postponed. Let's hope this one stays true.

Echo, which will star Alaqua Cox, Chaske Spencer, and Tantoo Cardinal, was first announced on Disney+ Day in November 2021.

Official premise: Echo revisits Maya Lopez, who's brutal behavior in New York City has caught up with her in her hometown. If she wants to go forward, she must confront her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and understand what family and community means.

Disney has kept almost everything from the second season of Loki under wraps. What we do know is that Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as the beloved God of Mischief, and cast members Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino will return. The series will premiere next summer and will have six episodes.

Riri Williams, better known as Ironheart, was planned to star in a six-episode series in the fall of 2023, according to sources. She will reprise her role as Black Panther in the sequel to Wakanda Forever.

The X-Men '97 series will be the first fully-produced Marvel Studios project to not be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A second season of the program has also been confirmed.

Agatha Harkness, who was first introduced in WandaVision, is now getting her own spin-off series. Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, and Maria Dizzia have joined the cast in yet-to-be-disclosed roles in the Marvel Comics franchise.

Stan Lee, the man who created so many heroes over his lifetime, would not be able to lead the Marvel Cinematic Universe where he died in 1997. A documentary will be released this year to commemorate his centennial birthday.

With a new Disney+ cartoon, fans of the Spider-Man cartoon will be able to anticipate Doctor Strange, the Rhino, and Doc Ock.

The MCU will be part of the series, but it will be set in a different multiverse. There will also be a sequel cartoon called Spider-Man: Sophomore Year.

Daredevil fans were surprised to learn that the character (played by Charlie Cox) would briefly exchange some in-fight banter with She-Hulk this year. The fourth film in the Captain America franchise will be released early May in 2024. Anthony Mackie will play Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, Danny Ramirez will play Joaqun Torres, and Harrison Ford will take William Hurt's role as Thaddeus Ross.

Sebastian Stan, Olga Kurylenko, Harrison Ford, and Hannah John-Kamen all-star cast have been confirmed for this film. The plot of The Suicide Squad is similar to the one from The Suicide Squad in D.C.

The reboot of Wesley Snipes' Blade trilogy was scheduled to launch in November 2023, but director Bassam Tariq resigned just weeks before filming was scheduled to begin. At this point, Mahershala Ali will play the titular daywalker, which is unusually similar to the late 90s classic.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe will release the third Deadpool installment in September 2024, but the release date has been pushed back to November. "Yeah, sure, Ryan," said the author.

Matt Shakman is expected to direct the feature directed by Jeff Kaplan, who hasn't announced any casting decisions yet. John Krasinski (of The Office fame) performed as Mr. Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but it's unclear whether he'll reprise the role in the 2025 film.

Destin Daniel Cretton will direct the film, which will be the 40th MCU film so far. Jonathan Majors is the only cast member confirmed to play Kang.

Secret Wars was supposed to be released just months after The Kang Dynasty, but due to delays with Blade, it has been rescheduled for 2026. Other information about Secret Wars is that it will be inspired by the Marvel Super Hero Secret Wars from 1984-1985, written by Jim Shooter, and a second Secret Wars from 2015 by Jonathan Hickman.

What If... zombies!? Episode 5 introduced viewers to the MCU multiverse, and Marvel is eager to continue to develop this concept. Expect zombified versions of Hawkeye, Captain America, Captain Marvel, and others.

Armor Wars was originally intended to be a Disney+ series with six episodes. However, Marvel Studio announced in September 2022 that the story will be turned into a full feature film. Little is known about the new film, although it will reprise Don Cheadle's role as a spy following the events of Secret Invasion.

Wonder Man will be developed by Shang Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton, who will return Ben Kingsley's Trevor Slattery. The show will also be developed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously played Black Manta in DC's Aquaman.

Deadline announced that a spin-off program focusing on Paul Bettany's Vision is in the works. He departed from WandaVision's conclusion to contemplate his existence. It'll likely include elements from the same comics event as the West-Coast Avengers.
