For the series' 20th anniversary, the next Pretty Cure anime series will break a barrier. Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure will be the first male character in the franchise. From 2004 through 2004, all members of each series' "Cure" magical girls have been female. When the series launches on February 5, 2023, it will be a surprise announcement.

Cure Wing will be voiced by Ayumu Murase. He played Shouyou Hinata in Haikyuu!, Aki Hayakawa in Devil Man Crybaby. Cure Wing is a permanent part of Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure's cast.

Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure is the 20th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise, and it also commemorates the show's 20th anniversary. Sora is an athletic teen from Sky Land, a floating kingdom. She gets her chance when she becomes Cure Sky, a superpowered Pretty Cure destined to fight the evil Underg Empire. Raku Ichijou in Nisekoi and Ritsuka Fujimaru (Gudako) in Fate/Grand Carnival.

Mashiro Nijigaoka, Sora's friend in Sorashido City on Earth, plays Eris in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, Sento Isuzu in Amagi Brilliant Park, and Rossweisse in High School DxD.

Cure Butterfly is also a new feature from Pretty Cure: Its First Adult. Cure Butterfly will be the oldest core member of a Precure team since 2010's Heartcatch Pretty Cure! Yoshino from Sakura Quest, Mio from Encouragement of Climb, and Noe Archiviste from The Case Study of Vanitas

Pretty Cure from Hirogaru Sky! will be released in Japan on February 5, 2023. There are no international release dates yet.
