The enthusiastic response from the public to Hi-Fi: Rush prompted the game director of the Action to describe the amusing origins of Tango Gameworks.
Hi-Fi: Rush has long been a prototype in the works, having started by John Johan and a handful of colleagues, gradually adding elements to the mix. With the desired end result already evident, the small team re-imagined the project.
The original Hi-Fi: Rush was designed to test all Tango Gameworks employees who passed through its doors. Soon, according to John Johanas, the Action had developed into a small legend among the Bethesda family's software houses! Shinji Mikami, according to the game director, recognized the potential of Hi-Fi: Rush and decided to give them carte blanche.
