The PlayStation 5 as well as its games and services were revealed in Sony's recent financial report, which covers the third quarter of the company's 2022 fiscal year.
The number of PS5 sales throughout the third quarter, which covers October to December of last year, is expected to be 7.1 million. This is higher than the console's total sales during the first and second quarter of the same year, which were only 2.4 and 3.3 million.

PS Plus users totaled 46.4 million, more than double the amount of games sold in the previous quarter, with 20.8 percent of them being first-party games. This suggests that more people purchased physical copies of games during the third quarter.
The total number of active users on the PlayStation Network was reported in the financial report as the second highest rate since the PS5's release in January.
