Perhaps EA's decision is a result of recent efforts to lower its costs, such as closing projects that, in its opinion, have no future. Nonetheless, Titanfall 2, released in 2016, failed to generate significant revenue, unlike multiplayer Apex Legends, which attracted more than $ 2 billion in funding.
