Tom Henderson: Skull & Bones is in a lot of trouble, but Ubisoft is unable to cancel the game ...

Tom Henderson, a well-known gaming insider, revealed that he spoke to a few Skull & Bones testers earlier this week. This was criticized by many, even though Ubisoft stated that many of the reviews resulted in tweaks to the game.

Tom Henderson spent the day talking with more than a dozen testers, of whom only "one or two were satisfied with the game." The general feeling among the testers from Skull & Bones is that "there is nothing special in the game" and that the project still has problems.

A closed Skull & Bones press screening was also scheduled for the first week of February, which was canceled, according to Tom Henderson. Two developers said they wouldn't be surprised if Skull & Bones would be released in the second half of 2023.

Skull & Bones cannot be canceled by Ubisoft for its commitment to the Singapore government, which offered "generous bonuses" in exchange for hiring a large number of staffers and releasing original IPs in the next few years, according to an insider.
