According to the reports from the Hollywood Reporter, the agreement between dj2 Entertainment and Amazon for the Tomb Raider film and television series would also include the development of a new game, which would be linked to the streaming giant's future Lara Croft projects.
The anonymous sources interviewed by the Hollywood Reporter highlight that Amazon and dj2 Entertainment have agreed to the development and marketing of "at least one video game from the Lara Croft series."
The game in question, which includes the 'deep throats' interviewed by the Californian magazine's journalists, should be linked to the events told in the new feature film and in Amazon's Tomb Raider TV series.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the goal of the Tomb Raider franchise would be to allow old and new fans of the series to immerse themselves in Lara Croft's adventures via films, television series, and, indeed, video games.
It would therefore be a parallel project to the one Crystal Dynamics is working on with Tomb Raider Next, whose development appears to be going smoothly, as suggested by the software house itself and, more recently, by the reports about the official presentation in 2023.
