Annie Wersching, 45, died of cancer early this morning.
Wersching continued to work and film despite being diagnosed with cancer in 2020, according to her publicist (via Deadline). She was well-known for playing Tess in the original The Last Of Us game as well as roles in television series such as 24, The Vampire Diaries and Marvel's Runaways.
In Star Trek Picard, she played the Borg Queen.
Stephen Full, Wersching's husband, writes in a statement: "We are sorry. We've got to apologize."
